Vemma Vitamin Drink Introduced by Billy McSwain to Combat Free Radicals

Salisbury, NC (PRWEB) September 23, 2013

Vemma Vitamin Drink: What benefit does it have?

Billy McSwain worked in corporate America for nearly thirty years and rose to the top of the corporate ladder, only to be dumped unceremoniously like so many others during the economic downturn. Realizing that he had to take destiny into his own hands he searched for the right entrepreneurial enterprise that he could believe in and make a living selling. After searching far and wide, he found a group of nutritional products called the Vemma Vitamin Drink. The rest is history.

After years of research, scientists are pretty sure of one thing: millions of our cells in our bodies are destroyed each day by free radicals. This brings on the aging process and lays us open for all kinds of disease. Free radicals are unstable molecules that attack our healthy cells and a fact of life, but can be greatly reduced and slowed down by a proper diet rich in antioxidants. Thus, the Vemma Vitamin Drink.

The average person has heard about the health benefits of certain vegetables like black berries, for instance, and green tea. Some people even say that red wine is full of antioxidants. That may be true, but the Vemma Vitamin Drink uses the super antioxidant from the rare Mangosteen plant combined with a blend of plant sourced minerals, organic green tea, and vitamins to make an antioxidant cocktail that is so super concentrated that you would have to eat and drink gallons of raw fruits and vegetables to get the same benefit.

One serving acts as a complete full spectrum muti vitamin, and source of plant sourced minerals. Because it tastes great, it goes down easily, and does not cause queasiness and heartburn like many muti vitamin tablets.

Vemma says, It takes about…

2 oranges to equal the amount of Vitamin C

9 avocados to equal the amount of Vitamin E

3 stalks of broccoli to equal the amount of Iron

55 eggs to equal the amount of Vitamin D

1 cup of spinach to equal the amount of Vitamin A

3 cups of peas to equal the amount of Thiamin

19 medium bananas to equal the amount of Riboflavin

62 oz of cheddar cheese to equal the amount of Vitamin B-12

5 large potatoes to equal the amount of Niacin

61 cups of tomatoes to equal the amount of Folate

2 large watermelons to equal the amount of Vitamin B-6

17 oz of cherries to equal the ORAC Value

37 medium mushrooms to equal the amount of Pantothenic Acid

…to provide the vitamins, minerals and antioxidant power of a 2-oz serving of Vemma.

Information compiled from the USDA Nutrient Data Laboratory and High ORAC Foods May Slow Aging by the Agricultural Research Service, USDA, February 8, 1999, and independent test results.

Vemmas Chief Scientific Officer Yibing Wang, M.D., Ph.D. says, “Its a great honor to provide you with quite possibly the most powerful liquid antioxidant available anywhere. Consuming Vemma daily helps strengthen the body’s natural immune defense, maintains vitality and enhances overall quality of life.”

New Website Focuses on All Things Native American Navajo Jewelry

(PRWEB) August 17, 2013

The Native American Navajo Indians are world renowned for their excellent jewelry pieces. The jewelry is in high demand on the international level due to their unique craftsman ship and deep rooted belief history. Men and women can find an array of designs to complement their style and looks.

Now, a new website has been launched to honor the timeless tradition associated with Native American Navajo jewelry.

Archeologists have found several Native American jewelry pieces containing turquoise dating back to 200 A.D., said spokesperson Michael Fortson. After the art of silversmiths was taught to the Navajo people in the nineteenth century, the Navajos jewelry became a treasured piece of art throughout history and still today.

Native American Navajo jewelry consists of silver rings, squash necklaces, pendants, earrings, bracelets, concho or concha belts, buckles, bracers, tobacco flasks, hair ornaments, pins, bolos, canteens and crosses. Turquoise and sterling silver were not combined together until the late 1800s.

Turquoise gemstones are the most popular stones found in Navajo jewelry, says Fortson. Modern day Navajo jewelry also contains things like copper, iron, steel, beads and gold.

There are three designs of jewelry that are handcrafted by the Navajo Indians. This would include the inlay of gemstones into the silver pieces, hammering the silver where it is then multifaceted and the earliest method of setting gemstones was the bezel setting that was a grooved rim that held the gemstone in its position and then became soldered into place.

The Native American Navajo jewelrys most popular style is the squash blossom necklace that resembles a squash flower, says Fortson. These silver pieces of jewelry created by the Navajo Indians are unique and genuine pieces of art that have been either been passed down from generations of tribe members or sold for money on the tourist or trade market.

Bike Commuters to University of Chicago Medical Campus Gain Security with New Sentry Shelter by Duo-Gard

Canton, Michigan (PRWEB) July 30, 2013

Bike commuters to the University of Chicago Medical campus can now wheel into its first covered, enclosed shelter specifically for employees. The new bike shelter was designed, engineered, fabricated and installed by Duo-Gard Industries Inc. in Canton MI, a leading innovator in outdoor structures.

Located in an enclosed, low-profile courtyard on the academic medical centers Hyde Park campus, the 16-ft.-wide by 24-ft.-long shelter is Duo-Gards Sentry model from its standard line. This one features a bronze metal, barrel-vault roof and glass walls; an open front doorway provides ventilation. Equipped with inverted-U parking racks, the structure holds up to 28 bikes. The fenced courtyards iron gate requires a swipe from the employees ID badge for entry.

We have a number of employees who regularly bike to work. Safety and security for them and their expensive bikes was a major factor, said Dave Hicks, UCMs Vice-President of Pharmacy and Laboratory Services. We needed some place secure, protected from the regions wind and snow, and readily accessible.

Response has been quite positive, Hicks said, with some 15 to 20 bikers a day taking advantage of the shelter. Hicks is one of them. Four days out of five, he bikes the 10 miles from his home in downtown Chicago to the Hyde Park location. He added that, as a user, he appreciates the open air flow and glass panels, plus the concrete floor and its good drainage. And, he said, bikers dont like carrying their locks around, so the shelters rafters provide a convenient place to clip them.

Bicycling is no longer relegated to recreation in parks and off-road environments. Commuting to work on bikes is a growing trend. The League of American Bicyclists cites a U.S. Census Bureau survey that shows a whopping 80 percent increase in bike commuting from 2000 to 2011 in large, bike-friendly cities. Combining increasing concern for the environment, as well as employee well-being, this form of alternative transportation is gaining growing respect.

Employers are encouraging this with accommodation that includes covered, enclosed bike shelters that provide both protection from the weather and security for bike and rider. Companies want to make it safe and easy for employees to bike to work, said Michael Arvidson, Duo-Gards Executive Vice-President. Our shelters help them accomplish this goal, and were on the front lines of sustainable, LEED-compatible design.

He said a major topic at the 2013 National Bike Summit in Washington D.C. was the fact that the younger generation coming into the work force is moving closer to the job, and many are committed to the environmental advantages of alternative transportation.

The shelter helped us achieve exactly what everyone was looking for, said Dave Hicks.

Gate Automation

Automated Gates
In both residential and commercial sites, automated gates are becoming more and more popular. They not only increase security, they make it easier to monitor who goes in and out of a site or a home without having to walk all the way to the gate whenever there is a caller. You can find automated gates in three kinds of materials – iron, wood and aluminum, but for this article, we will focus on automatic iron gates.
How they work
Most automated gates work in one of two ways: they can use a swing system or they can use a sliding system. A swing system opens in much the way that you would open a gate yourself – it moves it away from the entrance to make way.
The control mechanism for a swing system automatic metal gate is found in the pillar that holds the gate, with the gate positioned right above it. The motion is triggered by remote control. Once the button is pressed, it sets off a series of lever movements that then move the gate open. The opposite of those motions will close the gate.
A sliding system works like a garage door – the gate folds into a roll when the button is pressed. It requires a foundation track that runs across the pillars, and then rollers in the foundation track. The motor is usually installed out of view behind the pillars for security reasons. Once the trigger is hit on the remote control device, a motion triggers the rollers which then pull the gate either in or out.
What you should take into account when shopping for automated metal gates
There are all sorts of gates in the market so shopping might not be all that easy. Here are some pointers that can guide you to the right gate for you.
•How you want to communicate
Do you want to use CCTV or voice to communicate with a visitor? If you do, prepare a place to mount your camera or buzzer that is convenient, like near the front door or near the reception desk.
•Automatic closing
There are gates that you ca set to close automatically after you get in and there are those that require a manual trigger. The automatic ones are obviously better in terms of convenience but they are a bit more expensive. They are however important when you have children and pets, to prevent them from wandering out of the compound. They also reduce the possibility of someone accidentally leaving the door open.
How much privacy do you need? This affects the kind of gate that you buy. There are some automated iron gates that can be programmed to let through only one car, like if someone lives alone. If there will be many different cars however, you need a gate that allows them all through as soon as a button is pushed.
The world of automated gates is full of different designs. You might have to take some time to look through what is available before you make a decision. The best thing to do is to either contact a gate manufacturing company for a catalogue or look at different designs online.
As with all things automated, you want a gate that is not too sensitive to the elements. Your gate takes a lot of beating from the weather, but you don’t want a model that is easily affected and that requires frequent repairs. Go for something that is known for being sturdy.
How fast do you want your gate to open? The average one takes about 2 seconds which is okay if you are not in a high risk area. If you live in a place that’s high risk, you might want a gate that opens fast and closes fast. Note that snow can affect the speed at which your gate opens because of its weight. If there is a snowfall, sweep off the snow before you open the gate.
Most maintenance for automated metal gates requires greasing and checking up on the motor and electrical parts. Choose a gate that does nit require maintenance very often.
Lastly, before you buy any automated iron gates, shop and compare prices. ADGates offer a wide range. The best gate is the one that has the features that you want and that is within your budget range, allowing of course for a little more or a little less.
